VINTAGE CEDAR BOX
Many homes have vintage cedar boxes handed down from
generation to generation. Antique dealers are always on
the lookout for the vintage cedar boxes as they bring a
good price. And auctions are a wonderful place to go to
find the boxes.
There is something about anything vintage that brings
memories and good feelings to the heart. Maybe you have
no idea who owned it before but just wondering who may
have owned it brings you joy. You can make up stories
as you daydream about what type of house it was in and
the family who owned it. You can wonder what personal
possessions were kept in it.
The vintage cedar boxes stayed in such wonderful
condition because it was made of cedar, instead of a
wood that was not so durable. And being protected from
insects due to the cedar oil in the wood, insects
couldn’t destroy the wood nor whatever was in the box.
Cedar looks great mixed with all other types of wood
and even stands out because of the beautiful designs in
