CEDAR SAWMILL
Our cedar sawmill was established to be “green” using
every single part of the cedar tree. We don’t believe in
waste and every part of the cedar tree is very useful. When
cutting the trees down, the boughs are left behind for
animal habitat unless the farmer or landowner wants it
removed, in which case we use it on our own property.
On the decking the cedar cants remove the bark off the
tree and square up the log for cutting into board lengths.
The cedar lumber is taken to the kiln for drying, and then
through planers and sanders.
We use all excess we don’t use to be made into cedar
shavings which are sold bagged or by the truckload. The
mulch is great for walkways, around trees and shrubs and for
decorating around your property. It is also used by pet
owners and kennel owners because it keeps insects out of the
area and makes cleanup so much easier.
The oil from the cedar is used by manufacturers for
incense, products with cedar oil added, products such as
insecticides and more. We sell oil in various sizes:
pints, quarts, gallons (including 55 gallon drums).
Everything we build is built one at a time….totally hands
on and not mass produced. Every step is made perfect
before the next step is started.
We also sell kits where all the pieces are perfectly
fitted and each part is sanded and ready to put together
upon arrival with ease

the Great Depression Hope is all that people had. It
does not mater the size of cedar hope chest you have
as long as you have one to put your hope in. In 1930
cedar chests of all sizes and shapes sprung out every
where in the mid-west and eastern sea board....
