CEDAR PLANTER BOX
There are towns in Europe that have window boxes beneath
every window. They are filled with the most vibrant flower
colors that really add to the beauty of the house and the
yard. At one time a lot more homes in the United States had
a cedar planter box or two. Good news. They are coming
back.
It’s important to use cedar for your cedar planter box
because cedar withstands sun and rain better than any other
wood. It withstands insect eating away at the wood due to
the cedar oil in the wood. It also repels any bugs that
would be eating at the leaves of your plants so you don’t
need to spray insecticides.
The cedar planter box is durable so it can hold larger
amounts of soil which means you can have longer and taller
window boxes. Maybe you don’t want draper in your window
but would like a planter box that runs the whole width of
the picture window. And perhaps you want to grow taller
plants so they can be seen from inside the home too.
I’ve also seen cedar planter boxes sitting all around the
yard or on ledges. A few bright red geraniums in a cedar
planter box on a rock wall is outstandingly beautiful

does not mater the size of cedar hope chest you have
as long as you have one to put your hope in. In 1930
cedar chests of all sizes and shapes sprung out every
where in the mid-west and eastern sea board....
